The World’s First Smartphone for the Blind

The smartphone market is rapidly growing and according to the latest innovation, blind people will soon be able to receive SMS’s and emails on their smartphones, which automatically converts text into Braille patterns. 

The smartphone for the blind will be based on an innovative touch screen that is capable of elevating and depressing to create readable text from the content it receives.

Sumit Dagar, the developer of the latest innovation claims to have started the project about three years back and will be collaborating with IIT Delhi on making the prototype, which is currently in its testing phase.

Sony offers PSP & games to Mohd Asyraf Haziq, the London youth mugged during rioting

Sony has kindly offered to provide a PSP and games to the young man who became an infamous figure, symbolising the anarchy which swept UK streets, when he was helped and then mugged by cowardly thugs during the London raids.

In the clip which swept the news and disgusted a nation, the youngster named Ashraf Haziq was seen bloody-faced and hunched on the floor, then to have a group of youth assist him to his feet – only to then empty his bag of all its contents, including a Sony PSP handheld, before fleeing the scene.  

Sony Europe has reached out with the gesture with a plea from Playstation UK Marketing Director Alan Duncan reading “[We'd] like to give him a new PSP and games. Let me know the best way of getting in touch with Ashraf or the hospital. Thanks.”
